Bees also seemed to be happy today - just fully 'swimming' in pollen. If you take a closer look on bee's belly... right... you will see the pollen ball - pollen collected from the flowers. It looked pretty similar on both 'legs' (?).
Helleborus - different kinds...
Crocus...
Muscari...
Pulmonaria starts to bloom....
This anemone is simply amazing. Currently NIMG (Not In My Garden) - but maybe I will change it.
I regognize some helleborus plants wich I have new in my garden (the double ones). Here Spring is coming too despite the frost and snow we had this week. My muscaris however are still hidden in the soil.....Did you hear the birds are back and singing too???
Oh, Ewa, the sight of the pollen laden bee brings a smile, sorely needed after the last couple of days struggling to get a post up or leave a comment or even view a post on blogger! I love the double hellebores, our are only singles, although we did finally locate a reasonably priced black one! Thanks for the cheering post.
Hello Ewa: The colors on your photographs are stunning. It's still cold and damp and muddy where I live in Nebraska. I would like to learn more about gardening - I have a nice-size backyard with lots of trees around, including 2 pine trees, but not sure what to do to create a garden.
I also like the Doors and Joy Division. I see you sliced most of the lizard king's presence from the photo. I'm very interested in Poland and hope to visit Krakow one day. You have a beautiful garden.
A perfect burst of spring colour, especially those marvelous hellebores, Ewa! The bee does look very happy indeed. We've had heavy rain for the past 24 + hours and the redwinged blackbirds AND robins are back, so perhaps spring IS on its way, even in Nova Scotia.
You have made a beautiful contribution, all that spring flowers who is so great, the Helleborus is one of my favorits, what a color and dubble also...WOW! Every time I am in our blog I cant stop smiling when I see our cat Aslan ;) Have a nice weekend Ken
Ewa, your photos are just wonderful! Love the hellebores, have grown some doubles from seed, should flower this season, but what a beautiful pink one you have. Keep up the good work
I can see why you are singing and tiptoeing through the tulips. What beautiful colors. They make me long for more color in our garden. It won't be long now.
Barbara, our birds are 'screaming' not singing - in the morning it is just one full choir of different voices :) it means that spring came - right?
Frances, I hope your difficulties with internet are past by now :)
Marc, Welcome to 'Ewa in the Garden' and thank you for nice words. I didn't slice the king - it was like this when I found it :) so somebody else done it :)
Jodi, I am sure that spring is slowly on her way to you as well.
Lintys, That day was very warm +12C and bees were for the first time out and happy flying around crocus and hellebores - very cheering view :)
David, Welcome and if you are located in the western suburbs of Warsaw, this means you are somewhere very close to me :) thank you for nice comment :)
VP, bees made my day on saturday :)
Ken, taking all these pictures made me really happy and feel the spring - so I rushed to post them and share it - it is such treating view after the winter :) I admit, that picture of aslan makes me also smile every time.
M sinclair stevens (texas), yes, they are such a joy in the spring and they have one main amazing feature - after you plant them they look identical as on the package :)
Clayton, I think hellebores, especially double ona would be a real hit! they are not so popular yet, but so beautiful :)
Beautiful photos! Are the muscari already blooming in your garden? The only ones that are blooming here are those I bought 3 weeks ago in a garden center. The ones in the garden seem to need some more time.
I love all these great pictures of your Spring bloms! I can almost smell them!! Thanks for commenting on my Musings blog. Come visit my garden blog too! There is lots more on that blog for you to see. Carol terranovadesign.blogspto.com

Ewa - The bees really made my day. Your photos and your garden are so lovely. I hope we won't be far behind. I've never wanted Spring more!

Robin, I am happy you liked the bees :)
ReplyDeleteJean, is it difficult to grow them from seeds? I heard, that hellebores are selfseedling if the soil around is not mulched.
ilter, I am happy you finally saw my bees and you like it :)
Lisa, color in the garden after spring is like water in the desert, isn't it?
The crocuses and hellebores are so lovely. I wish we could grow more spring bulbs here but we don't get enough cold weather for them.
ReplyDeleteGreat again Ewa!
ReplyDeleteI have wondered about starting Helleborus but feel like I need to put on the brakes about more types of plants for now.

Tralala indeed! Love the pics of that bee, well done Ewa. That little bee has been quite busy judging from all the pollen it had collected.
ReplyDeleteLovely pics of so many spring flowers. It's nice that spring has come, isn't it?
