Let me introduce you to Zofia - she is one of the squirrels loved by Varsovians - they feed, get excited and follow Zofia and her large family living in the largest park in Warsaw.
There is a lot squirrels in my neighbourhood, but they are not so brave........
......running to every visitor......... for something.................
Great pictures Ewa. I have not seen a red squirrel for ages. We used to have one mounted on a piece of wood. I remember stroking his bushy tail while it would look at me with its glassy, dead eyes.
ReplyDeleteThey are so much nicer alive!
Ewa what great photos you captured!
ReplyDeleteThe squirrels look pretty skinny compared to the ones I have visiting my garden but perhaps all my fatty peanuts I feed them is the reason why! I have NOT seen that bright red color on our squirrels here in Ontario Canada..we have grey/brown or black squirrels. Any color I love them all!
They are so cute.
ReplyDeleteMy dog and I get to see one real near today on our trip in the forest, It collect cones from spruse to have for the winter.
You have taken real nice pictures on thise lovely animal.
Ken
If the many many squirrels in my garden were red instead of grey I might like them more. Yours are beautiful in Warsaw! Ours seem so common and they are utterly annoying. They are always fussing at the dogs (with good reason, I must admit). I think ours are much smaller, too. Great photos! I love that you share Polland with us, Ewa.
ReplyDeleteHow cute! The fellow in that first photo looks like he's about to dance. :) Great photos.
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhhhhh, ahhhhhhhhhhh, awwwwwwwww cute!!!!!! I adore Zofia and she really struck a pose, didn't she? :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat pics of a cute little squirrel!
BTW on Bliss there are lots of kitten pics. Come and have a look but bring a bucket. :-D
very beautiful captures. Zofia must be very happy about these
ReplyDeleteLook at those ears!! LOL. Great photos! We had a squirrel get into our house once, down a chimney. What a fiasco getting it out!
ReplyDeleteWow! That is a brave squirrel and beautiful, too! Gail
ReplyDeleteThis red squirrel looks like a real character. I like its tufted ears.
ReplyDeleteEwa - I just wrote a post about our red squirrels - they are new to our yard. I wasn't fast enough to get a photo - so I'm very impressed that your friends posed for you - They are so cute!
ReplyDeleteSophia looks adorable, indeed... but looks can be deceiving... I remember all mischief squirrels committed in my California garden... years ago :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie pie! You've captured some stunning photos. Thanks for introducing us to the lovely Zofia. ;-)
ReplyDeleteEwa, your squirrels are very brave for you to be able to get so near them. You've taken great photos. Are they "fox squirrels?" Ours are smaller. Most of them are gray, but we have a few black ones. :-)
ReplyDeleteSquirrels are so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSwedish greetings from West Africa,
Esther

Wow... interesting looking squirrels... :) Wish my garden would become a sort of paradise to birds and all sort of little creatures.... thus far, only few birds.... :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great day, Ewa...

Ewa...what a great capture of Zofia! I love watching the squirrels play among the trees.
ReplyDeleteI have visiting my garden but perhaps all my fatty peanuts I feed them is the reason why! I have NOT seen that bright red color on our squirrels here in Ontario Canada..we have grey/brown or black squirrels. Any color I love them all!
ReplyDeleteHow brazen this squirrel is! I bet if Atomic and Aslan were nearby, he wouldn't be quite so brave. Excellent photos, Ewa.
ReplyDeletewhat beautiful red coloring he has. And not shy at all!
ReplyDeleteSo funny and sweet, little Zofia! Great snapshots, Ewa. We sometimes have squirrels in the garden too. But they are very shy here.
