I have always thought of Christmas time, when it has come round, as a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable time; the only time I know of, in the long calendar of the year, when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely, and to think of people below them as if they really were fellow passengers to the grave, and not another race of creatures bound on other journeys. ~Charles Dickens
Lovely Ewa and a beautiful Christmas tree, xv.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful, Ewa, the sentiments and the tree.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a Happy Christmas, Zoë
A beautiful tree Ewa. Isn't it amazing that this sentiment written so long ago is still relavent.
ReplyDeleteHappy Christmas Ewa...your tree is beautiful and Mr Dickens words are very nice. gail
ReplyDeleteThat's such a pretty tree Ewa. Did you grow all the botanical goodies hanging on it?
ReplyDeleteMr. Dickens was so correct. Merry Christmas!
This wise thought Charles Dickens probably wrote when he finished his famous Christmas tale thinking of the change of Mr Scrooge's behaviour ;-) !! The sentiment is still valid today...Have a blessed Christmas holiday, dear Ewa.
