My poinsettia is still growing flowers instead of getting dormant.
Poinsettia we buy before Christmas have very small root system, so they need constant moist soil. Now, after 3 months I can see that even if the soil dries up sometimes, the plant is still fine - it survives even few days, without dropping leaves.
All my other blooms you may see in my last GBBD post.
Blooming Friday is organised by Katarina at Roses and Stuff.

Hi Ewa,
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a yellow Poinsettia before - it's very pretty! I hope you can save it until Easter...must be a great Easter decoration.
Enjoy your weekend and thanks for taking part in Blooming Friday!
Katarina
Unusual and very beautiful colour you got on your Poinsettia.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend Ewa

Amazing - like the contrast between the snow and the beautiful flower.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend.
you must really have a green thumb to make the poinsettia continue to flower!... it's like prolonging christmas :)... and as katarina said, it would be great to have it until easter which is a a sort of second christmas...
ReplyDeleteNice flowers on the poinsetta. What an unusual color for its leaves. Pretty.
ReplyDeleteI am so tired of Poinsettias that I don't buy them anymore for Christmas. But this yellow one is very nice - maybe I will start liking them again=). And still in bloom after 3 months - amazing. You must have green fingers =)
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend

This is one plant whose leaves enamor more than the flower. Yellow is certainly an unusual color for a poinsettia, I have the more common red variety.
ReplyDeleteOh WOW! That's really cool! Kind of wonderful miracle really.
