Wisteria is vine not tree, however when it gets older like 30 years or so, its body resembles tree. If you would like to achieve that you need to train it properly from first years. How it looks when it gets older see by yourself on these 33 amazing pictures of wisteria brought to you by Inspirational Monday.
Simply ... spectacular!
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are stunning and the wisterias very beautiful. I have a pergola covered with Wisteria. In spring it is pure poetry, but unfortunately in this warm climate short and sweet.
ReplyDeleteWow, these photos are amazing. So do you have a Wisteria? I have always wanted one but I know you need lots of sun for it and you have to keep after it to make it grow beautifully.
ReplyDeleteWow! Beautiful. Thanks for the lesson and the pics.
ReplyDeleteThese took my breath away! I've been wanting to try a Wisteria. I think you just gave me the inspiration I needed!

ReplyDeleteOh, this is too beautiful not to share further. (Watch for twitter link!) Thank you so much for pulling this together, Ewa! What a tutorial. The short lavender wisteria I am blessed to see in CA. The long straight pink ones I've never seen and did not know existed. Much to learn here. Well done and very inspiring!

Always Growing
Wow!
ReplyDeleteBut how do you 'train' them, so that they don't overwhelm anything they're put close to?! I planted one close to a heavy two-story wooden porch once years ago, and it practically tore it off the house. . . . I've been a little scared to ever plant another one.
This is a fabulously beautiful wisteria post. Makes me want to plant one. It is a great plant for massive displays. The photo collection is a special treat.

ReplyDeleteAll those pictures are spectacular! I love wisteria, but we cannot place one in our garden, unfortunately!
