Tiny Green Roof Spotted in Paris Yesterday

Green design in boom. Amount of green roofs, green vertical gardens and green terraces that I saw yesterday during short visit in Paris, France, really surprised me.
Nature seems to be really welcomed in the city - even in the city center on the Avenue des Champs Elysees.

Look at this resting place under green roof.
The planting is mainly sedum - note that it's in the full bloom already. In my garden it's slowly getting ready to bloom...

  1. Hi Ewa. This looks really great. And it's located in the center of Paris, so must be fashionable - don't you think so?

  2. hi Ewa, I have a "green" roof too, inspired by the sedum roof on the Ford Motor Company factory in Dearborn, Mi. Only mine is on a little plastic playhouse with hens and chicks and two kinds of sedum. It is so much fun to have. The little playhouse holds my pots during the winter. Love your blog.

  4. Wow! That's totally amazing and truly a work of art. It's great to see something like that. Also, I love the flower garden in front of the green roof shed. French really have a good taste when it comes to gardens.
