This year I simply can not enjoy winter in the garden. Why? Maybe because there is more projects going on outside of the garden, that include my attention? Maybe because I pay more attention to indoor decorations? As you can see on my blogroll there are some amazing blogs posting great pictures and educating at the same time about interior design. It is enough to mention Joni @ Cote de Texas and Shawn @ Country French Antiques as two favourite ones - girls, are you on Twitter?
Enough said about reasons for not enjoying winter garden - or rather I should think of it as 'lack of attention'.
This is the reason of me browsing summer pictures, so here we go with summer flowers:
On the above picture - there is amazing plant, that has shown its glory this year Lythrum salicaria. It grows in hot, not too moist spot.
My pyjama morning picture session :)
What are you focused on right now?

I generally do my interior decorating in the winter when it is too cold to garden but this year I am struggling to get any enthuisiam. I enjoyed your summer flowers - its makes me look forward to summer
What a bright cheerful post Ewa. Just what is needed on this cold gray day. Your kittty has a sweet face.
Well, we can always dream of summers, can't we :-)
gorgeous photo of the dark pink Zinnia! Thanks for sharing.
Ewa did you know in the U.S. Lythrum salicaria is an invasive plant? It overwhelms waterways and chokes out the diversity of existing plants.
Winter is often the best time to enjoy summer garden pictures. Thanks for sharing.
I love your garden and that beautiful kitty!
Such lovely pictures of your garden. After Christmas I get really tired of the snow and cold and long for flowers again.
We also tend to focus on house projects in the winter, though this year plans have been put on hold because I needed knee surgery.

Kathy,
I know it was brought to America by pioneers, probably because of its fame in natural medicine - it is healing the wounds.
Ewa
beautiful, beautiful images!!!
Thanks for sweet mention - much, much appreciated!
Have a safe and happy New Years!!!
Joni
just the kind of therapy I needed Ewa! How wonderful to see all those beautiful summer blooms and sunshine in the dead of winter!
I have been doing a lot of small decorating, cleaning, and organizing projects since the weather has been cold. Being so busy has made me miss the garden a little less (and having flowers in the basement is nice too.)
I think it's quite comical that you are posting photos of summer flowers, Ewa! I find myself wondering what IS going on in your town outside. Bare trees? Grey sky? White clouds? Rain? Puddles? I must see! Please show me! :)
I enjoyed sitting in your garden this morning, Ewa--oh, to drink in the sight and scent of all those beautiful flowers! Our weather is much too cold here for winter gardening. Winter is the time I get to work on indoor projects also.
Lovely photos! I'm SO focused on the garden right now. I'm trying to stay focused on interiors, since this is the time of year for that, but I just can't stop obsessing about the coming garden season. Spring, spring, spring!!!
~Angela :-)
Just stopping by to wish you much luck, prosperity and happiness in the coming New Year...
