Zaluzianskya ovata - named after Adam Zaluziansky von Zaluzian, a 16th-century Bohemian botanist. This sweet, compact growing and FRAGRANT plant is a frost tender perennial, great for stone gardens. Click here to find more tips how to grow it.
I'd like to clear that Adam Zaluziansky von Zaluzian was NOT Polish, as I may read in some websites. He was born in Hradiszcze Mnichowo (Czech), living in Prague, which is also Czech. In 1593 he became a rector of University in Prague, but after getting married one year later, he had to resign, because at those times rectors had to live in celibacy. Adam Zaluziansky (Adam Załużański) was the first one, who suggested to separate medicine from botany.
