Red raspberry Polka is slowly taking off... great Polish raspberry. It bears fruits on this year's shots continuously for 3 months starting end of July. This little inconspicuously looking plant will grow up to 1-1,5 meters high by end of June and give big, red, cone shaped, shiny, yummie red fruits....
Do you grow raspberries in your garden? I wonder what kind?

Actually we planted our first Raspberry bush this year, it has new growth on it now. I'll have to locate it's name tag, don't know much about them yet!
I think it is wonderful that there is a raspberry that can produce fruit that long. I will be anxious to see how yours does throughout the summer.
I got some canes from a friend - I have no idea what kind they are, but I have eaten from this kind before as she gives me some berries from her garden every year. My husband is the raspberry fan - I love blackberries :p
Raspberries are my Mom's favourite fruit and we used to have canes when I was a little girl, though I have no idea what kind they were. The delicious kind, if memory serves. :)
Hocking Hills Gardener,
this raspberry is growing in my garden already 3 years and it gives fruits late summer and almost entire autumn. Really happy with it.
I just relocated my raspberries and I hope they produce fruit this summer. I have Carolines that fruit in the early part of summer and then again in the fall. I also have Tulameens and Meekers that are summer producers.
Hello Ewa - I just discovered your lovely blog through Blotanical! The mention of raspberries certainly caught my eye as I have been trying to identify the one I have been growing in my Australian garden. For the first time this year it is about to fruit for the second time in a year (it's three years old). I'm thinking it is Williamette, but I'm not completely sure.
Yours looks ready to absolutely burst forth with new growth!
