Drought tolerant gardening with planting list

Great inspiration for drought tolerant gardening.
Newly discovered website is dedicated mainly to the house for rent in Mykonos/Greece, but if you take closer look you may find a real garden designing treasure: a set of pictures showing garden development with full planting list.

I think choice of plants was made great and the mass planting has stunning effect. Just have a look by yourself at this example of beautiful drought tolerant gardening.

Ewa ! Thanks for this link : ) Even here in Canada .. well specifically south eastern Ontario .. I am moving more and more towards drought yet cold hardy plants .. I don't want to have to baby my garden all season and we do have very lean water years with heat and humidity.
What a beautiful place that was !!
Joy : )

Ewa, Drainage is a big issue here for some of the plants, but we do try them anyway! That is a gorgeous photo with those cascading flowers. gail

Gardening. Never dull. We've had record breaking droughts, freezes, rains since I moved to Georgia.

It was zone 7 but changed to zone 8 recently. All without moving from my garden!!!

The best plants here are the pass alongs. They take summers of drought then do a summer of constant rain.

Worse is the clay soil in winter with above normal rains. The winter days of 60f & 6f within 18 hrs. are killer too.

Planning only for drought would be simple.

Garden & Be Well, XO Tara
