White
containers - great new buy from yesterday. Just have a look at simple and fine lines.
Designer had really great eye. Green and
red basil will look really tidy, so will my windowsills… ha…
I was
looking for something to my white windowsills, that can be humble and simple enough
to host basil in the winter. First frost days are coming fast – I have to hurry
up, because there is only few days left with temperatures above 0C at night.
I didn’t
want to have too large containers and I am sick of too many small and different
containers, seeming to be too messy, especially now, after my room and windowsill
are repainted.
Yesterday on
the way back from great new discovered private garden, we stopped at ikea,
which is sometimes great source of new findings.
I think
that these white container are perfect for small, winter herb garden. What is your opinion?
The new
private garden - mentioned at the beginning of the post - discovered and
photographed yesterday will be featured soon on Ewa in the Garden.

Love the new containers - they are exactly what I need - ikea? Really? What is their 'ikea' name - can't seem to find them in the Dublin ikea yet. They look really beautiful on your windowsills. Tempted now to paint mine white....
Hi Anna,
their name is YRSNO (last letter with two dots on top).
There were reds and whites - I took last 2 of them.
.
Recently I paint everythig to white, so go on!
Very pretty in their simplicity and herbs will look very nice growing in these. You are going to enjoy this all during your winter.
Have fun filling them up.

They look very pretty by your window. They wouldn't work in my house/decor but they look great in yours.
Love them! A perfect place for Basil. And your pics are lovely.
Very stylish!

Ewa - thanks for providing the name - I'll be looking out for them on my next trip!
Was it you who sent me the spaghetti squash seeds 2 (or more) years ago? They produced well this year, in spite of poor squash weather.
