That first photo is stunning. I always have liked those raked gravel areas. They look so peaceful but I am afraid it would drive me crazy to have one because the dog would run through it and I would never be able to stop raking to keep it perfect.
These pictures are absolutely stunning.
Wonderful! I love these photos.

These photos are fantastic. It is so nice to look at such lovely gardens when ours are not at their best right now.

Beautiful images Ewa! I work for a Japanese Company here in Australia & each year they print the most amazing calendar of exquisite Japanese garden scenes very similar to the ones in your post. My customers anxiously wait each December & will hunt me down to the ends of the earth if I accidentally leave them off the distribution list!
No doubt you are luxuriating in your cold Winter, but do spare a thought for me, it is 43C. (110.5F.) here today & 42C. (108.9F.) tomorrow! The heat this summer in Southern Australia has been relentless & positively scorching to our poor parched gardens.

Stunning photographs. There truly is an 'other-worldly' appeal to Japanese gardens, filled with such peace and tranquility, even with such riotous colour combinations. Thanks for sharing!
Wow. That first photos's a stunner!
I wish my backyard were bigger so I could designate a portion of it to the Japanese style. I love the serenity your pictures evoke. Calm. Very nice.
Since my husband stayed in Japan, he is a great fan of this kind of gardens. We have a calendar with almost similar pictures. Beautiful! Real garden art!
